 Sylvester Launches Sydney Flagship Store

Kate Sylvester has launched her first Australian retail store on Sydney’s Oxford Street, adding to her two existing stores in New Zealand. The 90sqm site will accommodate the Kiwi designer’s three labels – Kate Sylvester Womenswear, Kate Sylvester Menswear and the more youth-orientated Sylvester – in addition to her eyewear and footwear collections, and accessories from other brands.
The store was two years in the making, but it was a matter of finding the right location. “We are really looking forward to showing our Australian customers our entire brand vision, not to mention offering our collections in their entirety,” she told Ragtrader. “We are definitely keen to open in other Australian locations in the future. We have a fantastic customer base in Melbourne, so that is a location we are thinking about.”
Sylvester’s Spring/Summer “Take a Hike” collection, which debuted at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week in May 2009, will be the first to roll-out in store.
