The Annual General Meeting of Fashion Industry New Zealand (FINZ) will be held at 4.30pm on Thursday, 18 March, 2010, at Sale St.

All FINZ members and partners are invited to attend, and are also welcome to submit any items for the agenda.

So, please join us for a review of the past 12 months and a report on FINZ' strategic direction for the future. We will also be announcing the FINZ board for 2010/11.

The 2010 FINZ AGM will be followed by the spring/summer edition of Charles Parsons: FINZ Social Drinks.

Nominations to the FINZ Board

FINZ is governed by a board of founding trustees and elected industry representatives, who volunteer their time, energy and expertise to the organisation in service of its members and the industry.

Who can be elected?

All FINZ members are eligible candidates for nomination to the board.
The ‘nominator’ must be a FINZ member in good standing.
The ‘nominee’, if elected, must also be a FINZ member in good standing before actively serving on the board.

 

How do I make a nomination?

Please complete and return a FINZ Nomination Form by 5.00pm on Friday, 12 March, 2010. The ‘nominee’ is required to attach a brief summary of his or her training, skills and experience.

Who can vote?

Votes are cast by FINZ trustees and existing board members, which serves to ensure the continuity of the organisation. The election will be held on Monday, 15 March, 2010, and nominees will be informed of the outcome by email shortly thereafter. The FINZ board for 2010/11 will be formally announced at the FINZ AGM.

 

 

FINZ Membership

There are no restrictions on who is able to become a FINZ member – all individuals, companies, organisations and tertiary institutes are welcome. In the case of tertiary institutes and other organisations, the benefits of FINZ membership apply to all staff, but do not extend to their respective members or students.

 

Who are FINZ members?

FINZ currently has 150+ members in good standing and actively engages with a far wider industry network. Our members represent a diverse and increasingly global fashion supply-chain – spanning wholesale, design, manufacturing, retail, export, education and industry-related services.

How to I become a FINZ member?

To become a FINZ member, you are required to complete and return a FINZ Membership Form and pay an annual membership fee of NZ$395.00+gst. There is a discounted rate of NZ$200.00+gst available for individuals and start-up businesses.
